This page is for families, kids, and first-time users who want simple steps with no computer jargon. You do not need to know coding. Just click in order.

Step-by-Step Physical Actions
- Open Safari or Chrome, go to clawmagic.ai, and click How To Install.
- On the install page, click:Mac / Linux Setup.
- Open your Mac Home folder in Finder first, then open Terminal:
- Mac: Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
- Fast way: press Command + Space, type Terminal, press Return
- In Terminal, make sure you are in Home and run:
cd ~ curl -fsSL https://clawmagic.ai/install.sh | bash
- Wait for install to finish. Do not create any folders manually. The installer will automatically create the project folder at
~/clawmagicand open your browser for onboarding. - In the setup prompt, pick 1) Mom Setup. This opens the wizard and guides you screen by screen.

Keep your coach chat open in another tab if someone is guiding you. Mom Setup is a wizard, so you can go one screen at a time.
- Create your portal password: Pick a password you can remember. Write it down in a safe place.
- Accept the safety message: Read the warning and confirm you understand ClawMagic can run actions on your machine.
- Choose QuickStart: QuickStart is best for first-time users. You can switch to Advanced later.
- Add your AI key: Paste your API key, pick a model, and press the test button.
- Name your helper: Set your agent name and goal in plain words like: Help with homework planning.
- Review and start: Press Start Agent. You will be sent to the coaching chat.
Mac Home Folder Tip
In Mac terms, ~ means your Home folder. If your Mac username is jane, then ~/clawmagic is the folder /Users/jane/clawmagic.
How To Know You Are Done
- You can open your local portal at
http://127.0.0.1:18790/. - Your install folder exists at
~/clawmagic. - The wizard finished and sent you to coaching chat.
- If needed, run
clawmagic doctorto check system health.
