This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with ClawMagic, the ClawMagic Marketplace, and our associated services. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.

ClawMagic is built on a local-first architecture — your data lives on your machine and stays under your control. This is by design. We believe your data is yours.

Our Approach — Local-First

ClawMagic runs on your local machine. This means:

• Your data, files, conversations, agent memories, and configurations are stored locally on your computer.
• Your API keys, tokens, and secrets are stored in your local environment.
• ClawMagic does not operate a central server that collects or stores your personal data by default.
• Your AI conversations, agent outputs, generated code, and skill results never leave your machine unless you explicitly configure external integrations.

The local-first model ensures that you retain full control over your data at all times. The only data we collect is what is necessary to operate the ClawMagic Marketplace and provide support.

Personal Information We Collect

When you engage with ClawMagic or the Marketplace, we may collect:

• Email address — for magic-link authentication, purchase receipts, payout processing, and account communication.
• Marketplace account data — purchase history, wallet balance, seller earnings, and payout information.
• Seller information — contact details, plugin submissions, review findings, and approval records.
• Support communications — email address and content when you contact us at hey@clawmagic.ai.
• Additional information you voluntarily provide (profile preferences, feedback, survey responses).

We also collect Device Information automatically when you interact with the Marketplace web interface:

• Web pages viewed within the Marketplace
• Referring websites or search terms
• Browser type, operating system, and general device information

We use the following technologies to collect Device Information:

• Cookies — data files with unique identifiers for session management and preferences. Learn more
• Log Files — IP address, browser type, ISP, pages visited, and timestamps for Marketplace web requests.
• Web Beacons/Tags/Pixels — may be used to track Marketplace navigation and behavior for analytics.

What ClawMagic Does NOT Collect

By default, ClawMagic does not collect:

• Your AI conversations, agent outputs, or generated content.
• Your local files, filesystem contents, or workspace data.
• Your API keys, tokens, or credentials.
• Telemetry, usage analytics, or behavioral tracking data from the local application.
• Browsing history, IP addresses, or device fingerprints from the local desktop application.

When We Collect Information

We collect information when you:

• Visit the ClawMagic Marketplace web interface
• Register or create a Marketplace account
• Purchase, download, or install plugins from the Marketplace
• Submit plugins for sale on the Marketplace
• Subscribe to updates or fill out forms
• Contact us for support, disputes, or partnership inquiries
• Participate in surveys, promotions, or community events

We do not collect information from your local ClawMagic installation, agent conversations, memory system, or local filesystem. The local application operates independently and does not phone home.

Non-Personal Identification Information

We may collect non-personal identification information about users whenever they interact with the ClawMagic Marketplace. This may include browser name, type of computer, technical information about the means of connection (operating system, ISP), and similar information. This information is collected in aggregate to help us understand usage patterns and improve the platform.

How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate your identity and process Marketplace logins via magic-link.
• Process transactions including purchases, payouts, wallet operations, and seller earnings.
• Review and approve plugin submissions for quality and security.
• Personalize your experience and deliver relevant Marketplace content.
• Improve the Marketplace and our offerings based on aggregate usage patterns.
• Respond to customer service inquiries, support requests, and disputes.
• Communicate about your account, purchases, submissions, or platform updates.
• Send transactional or informational emails related to your account.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and Marketplace policies.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the Marketplace (such as payment processing).

Web Browser Cookies

The ClawMagic Marketplace may use “cookies” to enhance your experience. Your web browser places cookies on your device for session management and preferences. You may set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the Marketplace may not function properly without cookies, but basic browsing will still be available.

The local ClawMagic desktop application does not use tracking cookies.

How We Protect Your Information

• Sensitive data (e.g., payment information) is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.
• Marketplace data is kept behind secure networks accessible only to authorized personnel.
• We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures.
• We monitor for misuse, unauthorized access, and abuse-prevention signals.
• We limit internal access to operational needs and security responsibilities.

Your Security Responsibility

Because ClawMagic is a localhost application, securing your local data is your responsibility. This includes protecting your machine with appropriate security measures, securing your network, managing file permissions, protecting API keys, and reviewing plugin permissions. We strongly recommend using full-disk encryption, not running ClawMagic on shared computers, and regularly auditing installed plugins.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to others. We may share generic, aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information with service providers for purposes outlined above.

We may share personal information with third parties only when:

• Required for payment processing — transaction data shared with payment processors.
• Required by law — in response to valid legal requests or court orders.
• Necessary for dispute resolution — limited information shared between buyers and sellers, with your consent.

Third-Party Services & Websites

ClawMagic connects to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others) using API keys you configure. Data sent to these providers is governed by their privacy policies, not ClawMagic's. You are responsible for understanding their terms.

ClawMagic does not store raw payment credentials. If payment processors are used, those transactions are governed by the processor's privacy policy.

Some plugins may make network requests to external services. Each plugin declares its network permissions in its manifest. You are responsible for reviewing plugin permissions before installation.

Third-party websites linked from ClawMagic have their own privacy policies. Browsing those sites is subject to their own terms.

Data Retention

• Local data: Stored on your machine for as long as you keep it. ClawMagic does not remotely access or delete local data.
• Marketplace account data: Retained for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal and business purposes.
• Transaction records: Retained as required for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution.
• Support communications: Retained as needed to provide ongoing support.

You may request deletion of your Marketplace account data by contacting hey@clawmagic.ai. Some records may be retained as required by law.

CalOPPA Compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA):

• You can visit the ClawMagic Marketplace anonymously (browsing does not require an account).
• This Privacy Policy is accessible from the ClawMagic website.
• We notify users of changes via this Privacy Policy page.
• You can update your personal information by contacting us at hey@clawmagic.ai or through your account settings.

Do Not Track Signals

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings. We do not track your activity for advertising purposes. We do not use targeted advertising within ClawMagic. We do not allow third-party behavioral tracking on the Marketplace. The local ClawMagic application does not track your behavior in any form.

Opt-Out of Targeted Ads

ClawMagic does not serve targeted advertisements. However, if you wish to opt out of targeted ads from third-party services you may interact with elsewhere, you can visit:

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ClawMagic is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly market to or collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hey@clawmagic.ai and we will promptly delete it.

Fair Information Practices

In the event of a data breach affecting personal information stored on ClawMagic's Marketplace infrastructure, we will notify affected users via email within 7 business days of confirming the breach. We will provide details about what information was affected and what steps users should take.

CAN-SPAM Act Compliance

We collect your email address in order to:

• Process Marketplace transactions and send purchase receipts.
• Send information and updates pertaining to your account, submissions, or purchases.
• Respond to inquiries, questions, and support requests.

To unsubscribe from non-transactional emails, contact us at hey@clawmagic.ai. Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, payout notifications, security alerts) may still be sent as necessary.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

ClawMagic has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated through the Marketplace dashboard or email. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
